AHP Booking Optimisation Project named Proud2b@MFT winner for making appointments easier to book

Congratulations to the AHP Booking and Scheduling teams, who took home an award at the Proud2b@MFT Annual Celebration Event for delivering the Booking and Scheduling Optimisation project. Their win at the Proud2b Champions Awards recognises the dedication and teamwork that made the project a success.

Sarah Houghton, Head AHP Outpatients said:

We’re delighted to have won the Proud2b@MFT award for CSS Clinical Group Team for the AHP Booking Optimisation Project (BOP).

BOP is helping us improve how outpatient appointments are ordered and scheduled, giving patients greater choice and accessibility, including the ability to book their own appointments online using MyMFT where appropriate. In addition, through the new waiting list validation functionality on MyMFT, we also understand which of our patients still require AHP treatment, enabling us to focus on patients with the greatest need.

BOP will also improve clinic utilisation, reduce DNA’s and administrative burden, enabling administrative staff to focus their time on other competing pressures and priorities, while ultimately improving the experience for both our service users and staff.

It’s fantastic recognition of the teamwork that has gone into making these improvements happen and we are already reaping the benefits of the project, which we look forward to extending to all AHP services in the coming months.
