NHS Staff Survey: Take 15 on the 15th!

We know that one of the biggest barriers to completing the NHS Staff Survey is finding the time. On Thursday 15 October at 15:15, we’re encouraging colleagues, where service needs allow, to take 15 on the 15th and use the 15 minutes of protected time available to all colleagues during the working day to complete their survey.

We’re writing to managers first because your support will be key to making this a success.

Where operationally possible, we’d be grateful if you could consider creating a short diary hold or team meeting at 15:15 on 15 October to give colleagues dedicated time to complete their survey. This doesn’t need to be a formal meeting. It could simply be a protected 15-minute slot, a reminder during a team huddle, or another approach that works for your area.

To make this as easy as possible, we’ve attached a meeting invite that you can open up in Outlook and forward onto your team.

We fully recognise that some teams will be unable to take part at that time due to patient care and operational pressures, and that’s absolutely fine. Colleagues can complete their survey at any point before it closes. However, where services can accommodate it, creating some protected time can make a real difference to participation.

We’ll be sharing further communications with colleagues about Take 15 on the 15th from tomorrow, via the SharePoint Hub.

Thank you once again for your support in helping colleagues have their say.
