Our pharmacists are an essential part of our team and make a difference to patients’ lives every single day.
Just one inspiring example of our pharmacist colleagues going above and beyond is a group of 30 pharmacists who chose to learn British Sign Language (BSL) so they can communicate more effectively with our patients.
Anna, the pharmacist in this video, shares her experience:
“I have had 4 BSL users as in-patients on the wards where I work since completing the training. I have been able to interact with each one. Sometimes relating to my role as a pharmacist, others just to chat about the weather, hobbies or to ask if they want tea or coffee.”
Feedback from patients has been fantastic, showing how small actions can make a big difference to patients’ care and experience.
To all of our pharmacists – thank you for your expertise, hard work and kindness ![]()
