Manchester Pride: CSS Director of Nursing and Healthcare professionals reflections and photos

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share something a little different with you this week. Last weekend, I had the pleasure of attending Manchester Pride, and it was honestly one of the most uplifting experiences I’ve had in a long time. This year’s theme, “No Place Like Home,” felt especially poignant — a celebration of belonging, community, and the idea that everyone deserves to feel safe and accepted wherever they are.

Walking through the Village, surrounded by colour, music, and thousands of people celebrating who they are, I was reminded just how important it is that we all feel that same sense of belonging here at work too. As a healthcare team, we look after people on some of the hardest days of their lives, and that care is only as strong as the culture we build for each other behind the scenes. Seeing so many people show up for one another — loudly, proudly, and joyfully — was a brilliant reminder of what community and compassion can look like.

I’ve attached a few photos from the day. Thank you all for the incredible work you do, and here’s to bringing a bit more of that Pride spirit into everything we do together.

With pride and gratitude,
Sarah Ingleby
