CSS medal winners: Critical Care Unit and MRI Surgical Therapy team

The CommonHealth Games may have come to an end, but the impact of what colleagues achieved will continue long after the closing date.

Special congratulations to our Critical Care Unit at North Manchester who received a gold medal and also our MRI Surgical team for getting a bronze medal. What a fantastic achievement from all of you!

Watch the video above to see some of the fantastic work that took place across MFT, including Jim Quick Ward at Wythenshawe Hospital and Buccleuch Lodge in the community.

Together, they show how simple activities can help patients stay active, maintain independence and support recovery during their hospital stay. Find out more about being an Active Hospital here.

Colleagues also embraced the Games as an opportunity to support their own health and wellbeing through the Ready, Set, GlasGOw step challenge.

Together, teams across MFT achieved an incredible 203 million steps – the equivalent of walking around the world nearly four times. Thank you to everyone who got involved and helped champion the benefits of movement and physical activity.
