Last week, colleagues from across our Trust came together at Wythenshawe Hospital to celebrate South Asian Heritage Month with a vibrant showcase event ![]()

The event featured a rich programme of performances, discussions, and reflections, including poetry about a journey from Nepal to the UK, a traditional Thiruvathirakali folk dance from India, a Garba performance, a Bollywood dance and beautiful singing performances.
The event also included a presentation on the South Asian Nursing Heritage Project and its connection to the South Asia Gallery at Manchester Museum, highlighting the historic and ongoing contribution of South Asian nursing communities.

Thank you to all of the speakers, performers, volunteers, organisers and attendees who helped make the event such a memorable and inspiring celebration.
