Introducing the CSS Recognition Hub

We are delighted to launch the CSS Recognition Hub – a dedicated space bringing together everything you need to know about recognition across Clinical & Scientific Services.

The Hub has been developed in direct response to feedback from colleagues through our Staff Survey Action Plan, specifically under the We Are Recognised and Rewarded People Promise theme. People told us that recognition matters, but they also wanted greater awareness of the different ways achievements, contributions and everyday acts of kindness can be recognised and celebrated across CSS.

Recognition is much more than awards ceremonies. It is about making sure people feel valued, appreciated and seen for the difference they make every day. Research consistently shows that meaningful recognition helps people feel more connected to their work, strengthens team relationships and contributes to a positive workplace culture. Put simply, feeling appreciated matters.

The CSS Recognition Hub brings together our tiered approach to recognition, helping colleagues and leaders understand how recognition can happen at every level. From a simple thank you, a thoughtful message, or a shout-out in a team meeting, through to professional celebration days, Excellence Reports, team nominations and our annual CSS Star Awards, every form of recognition plays an important role.

The Hub includes:

  • Our CSS Recognition Framework and tiered approach
  • Ideas and inspiration for recognising colleagues and teams
  • Guidance on giving meaningful and impactful recognition
  • Resources for leaders and managers
  • Information on celebration events and professional recognition days
  • Details of awards and nomination opportunities
  • Examples of great recognition in practice

Whether you are looking for a simple way to thank a colleague, celebrate a team achievement or nominate someone for an award, the CSS Recognition Hub is your one-stop destination for all things recognition.

Take a look, get involved and help us build a culture where appreciation is part of everyday life.
