Celebrating Dietitians Week 2026 (1–5 June)

Raising Awareness. Sharing Impact. Celebrating our people.

Next week marks Dietitians Week 2026, and across CSS we’ll be coming together—across both Adult and Children & Young People services—to celebrate and showcase the vital role our dietitians play every day.

Dietitians Week is a chance to pause and recognise the breadth and impact of the profession. From improving health outcomes and preventing illness, to supporting recovery and long-term wellbeing, dietitians bring expert, evidence-based nutrition care to patients at every stage of life. Their work sits at the heart of high-quality, compassionate care across the NHS.

It’s also a moment to celebrate the collective contribution of our teams—highlighting achievements, strengthening professional pride, and making visible the value dietetic services bring to both patients and the wider healthcare system.

This year’s themes

Across the week, teams will be bringing to life five simple but powerful themes:

  • Monday – Our vocation
Why dietetics? The passion, purpose and personal stories behind choosing this profession.
  • Tuesday – Our work
Showcasing the breadth of clinical and community practice, and the difference dietitians make every day.
  • Wednesday – Our celebration
Recognising achievements, innovations and milestones across our teams.
  • Thursday – Our impact
Demonstrating real outcomes for patients, services and populations.
  • Friday – Our people
Shining a light on the individuals and teams behind the profession.

Together, these themes offer a clear narrative—who dietitians are, what they do, and why it matters.

A message from our AHP leadership

Steven Boyd, Lead AHP, Quality and Professional Matters, said:
“Dietitians are a vital part of our AHP workforce and the care we provide across MFT. Their expertise in evidence-based nutrition has a direct and lasting impact on patient outcomes—from acute care through to long-term condition management and prevention. Dietitians Week is an important opportunity to recognise that impact, celebrate the dedication of our teams, and share the difference they make every day for patients, families and communities.”

Join in

We’re looking forward to an engaging and uplifting week across the Division. Whether sharing stories, celebrating colleagues, or highlighting the impact of your work, every contribution helps raise the profile of the profession and the people behind it.

Let’s take the opportunity to celebrate our dietitians—with pride, visibility and a bit of well-deserved recognition.
