On Friday the MFT Nightingale Choir won the Siemen’s Award in the Hallé Workplace Choir competition.
This is the second year the choir scooped an award at this event, last year winning the Charles Hallé Award.
The Nightingale Choir, supported by MFT Charity, has members from across the Trust and always welcomes new recruits.
Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings at the Nightingale Centre at 5.30. All are welcome to join.

Megan Bydder Consultant Radiologist at the Nightingale Centre (radiology)said: “There were eight choirs in this year’s Halle Workplace Choir competition and we won the Siemen’s award which is an audience award voted for by the audience members so we were very pleased!”
“We sang May It Be from Lord of the Rings, and O Holy Night. It was held at Halle St Peters in Ancoats – there were about 20 choir members and we were led by our Halle conductor Sam Gilliatt.”
